Would you ever get rid of a book?
We are drowning in books. I only live in a semi and Ive already got a bookcase in every room including the bedrooms. The problem is my Husband WILLNOT get rid of one for any new ones that come in. I mean charity shop btw Can any other fellow book lovers suggest any solutions?

I also love books.brbrI have tossed a few, over the years, that were too dilapidated to be of use.brbrI only get a few of my books in hardcover. Those are the ones that I will be using over again, such as reference books. My wife knows that if its hardcover, she cant get rid of it or loan it out.brbrMy hundreds of paperbacks are shared with my friends. I also trade them at the used book stores. I have donated some to the senior citizens apts. and convalescent homes.brbrI would suggest this solution. Use one bookcase for reference books and books that you know you will be using again or rereading.brbrThen, tell husband he can have another bookcase to store the books that he feels he absolutely cant part with. Everything else in the other cases is up for grabs and will be continually recycled.. Every book you hoard is a book someone else didnt get to read.brbrMy wife got me a box of the type of books I like , from a yard sale on Saturday. As soon as I finish this answer, I have to sort books to make room. Its an ongoing process.
